Just thought you all might like to know that I seem to have figured out how to use the mandolin without chopping off parts of my finger. Whew!
I was nervous to use it again. To the point that my stomach hurt a little. And my poor finger from last time is still tingling and the potatoes have been in the oven for 10 minutes or so...
I'm referencing this post if you didn't know...
Here's what the finger looks like 3.5 months after I sliced the tip off. It doesn't hurt 100% of the time anymore, but I still tear up if it gets hit at just the right angle or put too much pressure on it. Not fun.
