Happy Easter!

We joined the church down the street for their Egg Hunt on Saturday. G was over the age limit, but Bean had a great time! He had a blast 'finding' all the eggs. They roped off the park by age groups. The 1-2 year old group had a chunk of grass about the size of my driveway. The 4 kids had so much fun running around putting the eggs in their baskets. Then we went back to the church for cookies and a story.

This morning Bean and I woke up early to get the French Toast started. So easy and DELICIOUS! It will definately be made again! I was so excited I forgot to get pictures before we started eating, so this is a shot of 2nds. We let it sit on the stove till J woke up. It was still plenty warm!

8 slices of Blueberry Crumble bread (I got mine for $1 at the bakery outlet and threw it in the freezer till last night!)
5 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 bag frozen mixed berries
4 ripe-sliced bananas
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. each cinnamon & nutmeg

Combine eggs, milk, baking powder and vanilla in mixing bowl. Cut bread into 1"ish cubes. Mix with the egg mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning pull the bread mix out and stir it. In a seperate bowl combine berries, bananas, sugar and spices. Put into greased baking dish and top with the bread mix. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. We topped ours with whipped topping, but it would be tasty vanilla yogurt or even plain too!
