28 Weeks

We ended up at the doctors on Monday instead of Thursday this week. On Friday I was feeling a little odd and called the doctor. They said that everything sounded ok, but to come in on Monday. And everything was okay, so no worries. YAY! She said he's measuring right on track, and his heartbeat was good.

Work hasn't been great. I still have a job, but they did a batch of layoffs, so some of my work friends (meaning i totally consider them my friends there, but we don't really talk outside of work) don't anymore... There was a lot of tears that day. We're all wishing them the best of luck in finding something soon, but also feel very relieved that it's not us. Losing your job is always hard, but especially so right now.

Gman was home this week. He was excited on Sunday to come home to a rearranged room. He was kind of jealous when our room and CheesePuffs rooms had been done while we were in Oklahoma. He got the desk that used to be in the office, and we moved his other furniture around. He loves having a larger play area now. He's actually been getting into his toys again.. Although that might have something to do with them going to see Transformers on opening night too..

Jason's had two weeks in a row of 40 hours. And is scheduled for another one this week. Would be great for us (and his company) if they continue having enough work to keep this up.

Today I went to go see My Sisters Keeper. Good movie. Lots of crying. It was a nice release for some of the pent up stress though! I was a bit surprised to see so many mother/daughter groupings there. Or at least in the age groups they were in. I couldn't imaging taking a "younger" daugher to see it. You could tell by the look on some of their faces as they left that it wasn't what they had been expecting. Mom's eyes were all red and the girls looked bored out of their mind...

My goal for this week is to get through the pile of stuff that came out of Cheese Puffs closet and see what can go to Goodwill and what needs to be shredded/tossed. Since it's a nice short week at work I'm hoping it'll go by fast.
