Fishing

J wasn't wasn't up to going in to work this morning. They've been passing a yucky cold around so he stayed home and rested up. This afternoon he was feeling better so we took a short bike ride down to a fishing spot at the river. It was B's first time ever fishing, and the first time I've been in a LONG time.

It was pretty hot out today. I think we almost hit 80 (hahaha). The fish weren't biting. Prob would have helped if we had been on the other side of the river where the shade was. We could see them jumping over there. G lost half his worm to something, but it was able to avoid the hook. Oh well. It was fun to cast the reel out a few times and freak B out with the worms. In typical 2 year old fashion he had zero interest in anything but winding the line back in.

Next time we'll have to find a spot in the shade so I can sit and read a book while they fish. I'll bring some crayons for B to color with. That's more my idea of relaxing.
