I started the morning with birthday kisses. Mr Bean is one today. We are lucky enough to have all my siblings and my mom in town for the celebration. We had a fantastic breakfast before starting our running for the day. Lots of running around and food prep for the party.
In the middle of the day we were lucky enough to celebrate G's accomplishments as we watched him pass his yellow belt test at his karate studio. I was a surprise to us earlier this week to find out it was an option for him to do the test today. It was great timing since all my siblings and my mom are in town for the birthday party! G did an awesome job and was happy to wear his Gi to the birthday party to show everyone. Adorable!
The party was fantastic. As always we had WAY more food than people, but we it was delicious and the leftovers are going to be yummy too! Bean wasn't too much into his presents, but he LOVED all the huggles and attention. He ran around from person to person all night seeing who would give him what treats or toys. The big cake was a marble cake, but Beans was chocolate. He was thrilled. There would probably be more missing if he hadn't been so tired. He was only about 1/6 of the way through the 4" cube when he started rubbing his eyes and got frosting in them...
Once he was all cleaned off he got a few more snuggles before we got all cleaned up and headed home for some good ole family hanging out. As I type this the older boys are bonding over specialty beers, the girls are sharing a lambic while we watch Man Vs Food.. Good stuff. I think a Filiberto's run might be coming up.. Yum!
